BEHEMOTH: Complete 'Evangelia Heretika' DVD Details Revealed

Polish extreme metallers BEHEMOTH will release their secondr DVD, "Evangelia Heretika", on November 9. Metal Blade Records has created a landing page for the set, featuring a pre-order for the release, bundle offers — including the limited-edition pressing of the band's highly successful album "Evangelion" on vinyl — and the first video clip taken from the DVD to give fans a sneak peek of the content.

Commented BEHEMOTH vocalist/guitarist Adam "Nergal" Darski: "We've been through hell and back to make this release happen.

"I know we only have a few DVDs in our catalogue so far but they are not even close to what you are gonna experience with 'Evangelia Heretika'! Expect approximately five hours of essential BEHEMOTH. Longtime BEHEMOTH artistic collaborator Graal has provided us with some of his most disturbing and completed visuals to date."

"Evangelia Heretika" DVD content: Three discs featuring two full shows ("Live In Paris 2008" and "Live In Warsaw 2009"); every BEHEMOTH music video ever made; "Evangelion" tour documentary featuring band interviews plus tons of backstage footage; and a bonus "Live in Warsaw" audio CD.

The Batusis are coming to the West Coast Oct. 15-27

What happens when Sylvain Sylvain and Cheetah Chrome; the two founding fathers of punk rock join forces? Before you know it, the world’s most irreverent supergroup suddenly kicks up a serious commotion. In a word: Batusis.
You might describe Batusis’ explosive, self-titled EP (released by Smog Veil Records) as a garage-glam dance party or a Harley-revving, speaker-melting guitar throwdown. As far as the band’s concerned, though, you can just call it rock’n’roll.
The project marks the first-ever collaboration of two longtime friends, both of whom happen to have profoundly influenced the direction of punk rock and its aftermath: Cheetah Chrome, hard-charging guitarist of Cleveland icons Rocket From The Tombs and Dead Boys and celebrated solo rocker, and Sylvain Sylvain, wildly charismatic New York Dolls axeman and adventurous solo artist.

Glenn Danzig recently spent time editing the music video he directed for DANZIG's new single, "On A Wicked Night", which was shot on location in early June at the infamous BatCave in the Hollywood Hills.

"On A Wicked Night" comes off the first new DANZIG studio album in six years, "Deth Red Sabaoth", which sold 11,700 copies in the United States in its first week of release to land at position No. 35 on The Billboard 200 chart.

DANZIG's last album, "Circle of Snakes", opened with 6,400 units back in September 2004 to enter the chart at No. 183. That number was in line with the 6,900 first-week tally registered by 2002's "Danzig 7:77 I Luciferi", which debuted at No. 159.

"Deth Red Sabaoth" was released on June 22 via Evilive/The End Records. Produced by Glenn, the CD was recorded in Los Angeles over the course of 2009.

Joining Glenn in the studio for the recording of "Deth Red Sabaoth" were guitarist Tommy Victor (PRONG, MINISTRY), a Danzig cohort on and off since 1996, and drummer Johnny Kelly (TYPE O NEGATIVE, SEVENTH VOID). While Kelly has toured with Glenn intermittently since 2002, this is the first time he has recorded with the band. Glenn handled the bass chores for most the album, and played drums on "Black Candy".

DANZIG — Glenn, guitarist Tommy Victor, drummer Johnny Kelly and bassist Steve Zing (also an original member of SAMHAIN with Glenn) — plans to tour extensively to support "Deth Red Sabaoth".
